How Mallorca is Life began
Mallorca has been attracting visitors for decades. Most of them see a fraction of what the island actually is. The resort beaches, the old town circuit, the car rental and the sangria. Nothing wrong with any of it — but there is another Mallorca underneath all of that. One that takes time, local knowledge, and genuine curiosity to reach.
We are a small team of people who have lived on, studied, and fallen completely in love with this island. Between us we speak five languages, know the winemakers by name, have hiked nearly every trail in the Tramuntana, and have eaten in restaurants that don't appear on any platform. Mallorca is Life is our attempt to share that access.
Everything we do is guided by one principle: authentic experience at the right pace. Small groups. Real locals. The places that matter — not the ones that market themselves.
Our philosophy
The best way to show you love Mallorca is to leave it exactly as beautiful as you found it — and perhaps more understood than before.
We believe tourism can be done well or done badly. Done badly, it overwhelms communities, commodifies culture, and leaves nothing of value. Done well, it creates genuine connection between visitors and places — and leaves both richer.
That's the only kind of tourism we are interested in. Every decision we make — from the size of our groups to the partners we work with to the way we write our captions — is made with that principle in mind.
- — Maximum 8 guests per experience — always.
- — Every guide, driver, chef and partner lives in Mallorca. Revenue stays on the island.
- — We avoid overwhelmed villages and peak-hour sites. Timing is part of our curation.
- — We brief our guests on respectful behaviour — not as a policy, but as part of who we are.
- — Sustainable logistics wherever possible: electric vehicles, walking-first itineraries, consolidated transport.
Carolina Adan Caro
Carolina Adan Caro is a Mallorcan artist whose work has become inseparable from the identity of this brand. She was here before the brand existed — painting the island in a way that captures something no camera has yet managed to pin down.
Her hand-lettered, expressionist works — bold strokes, raw colour, words erupting from surfaces — are the visual language of Mallorca is Life. The logo, the seasonal campaigns, the event photography, the limited-edition prints: all of it passes through Carolina's eye and hand.
She is not a sponsor or a collaborator in the commercial sense. She is an Artist in Residence — a genuine partner whose creative input shapes everything we do. Each season she produces new work: prints, wearable pieces, event documentation. Limited editions, always numbered and signed.
Art is not decoration. It is the way we understand where we are.
If you are interested in commissioning a piece or acquiring existing works, please contact us. We act as a discreet introduction point between Carolina and serious collectors.
The people behind Mallorca is Life
We are a small team based in Mallorca. We don't list our names and titles because that is not how the island works. On Mallorca, you are known by what you know and who you know — not by your job description.
What we will tell you: between us we have decades of experience in the island's wine, food, art and outdoor worlds. Our guides are not freelancers from a directory. They are people we have known for years — trusted, knowledgeable, genuinely happy to be sharing what they love.
We are always looking for new partners who share our values. If you are a Mallorcan winemaker, farmer, artist, chef or guide and you think there might be a conversation to be had, we would love to hear from you.
